About Night
This two horse equestrian pendant necklace was created using fine silver. Whenever they can, horses will spend their time with other horses. Many horses have a “best friend” and the two can be inseparable. The herd instinct is strong!
This statement necklace is stunning with multi strands of tiny Black Spinel stone beads and a gorgeous, natural Black Druzy stone. Natural Black Druzy stones are fairly rare and are thoughts to be associated with calm and protection.
Their bodies cool in the moonlight as the grass underfoot grows dark. Ears twitch to nocturnal sounds.
They graze side by side, stopping often to raise their heads, ears pricked, jaws still, as they listen to the nighttime tunes. Their silhouettes, bright and present under the hot rays of the sun, soften into fuzzy outlines against the backdrop of a summer moon.
Eventually, the crickets and owls grow still and the horses relax into the quiet of the night.
I often think that the night is more alive and more richly colored than the day.
